Fashion Week kicked off like always and I hit the ground running! Friday afternoon was Christian Siriano’s show at the Pierre Hotel on 61st. Janet Jackson came in just before showtime surrounded by big, beefy bodyguards. For real girl? Laura Linney, Laverne Cox, Kesha, Alicia Silverstone and Rosie Perez were all on the front row. Not bad for 3:00 in the afternoon.

I missed my helicopter ride to Roosevelt Island for Prabal Gurung’s show at 5. And then it started raining and I wasn’t sorry. But Venus was in attendance. Venus Williams. I haven’t seen her in ages and it would have been lots of fun to catch up.

Ralph Lauren was out at the Brooklyn Navy Yard at 7. Just a hop across the water. There was nothing new on the catwalk but only Ralph can turn out garments made of gold that aren’t tacky af. It was cool to see Christy Turlington close the show. Fresh out of September VOGUE, wasn’t it nice to see actual models on the cover again? JLo, Sheryl Crow, Gabrielle Union, Ariana DeBose, and Laura Dern were all riding front row. It was 90 degrees today and I finally had to roll up my sleeves but Diane Keaton was draped in a coat and hat like November. Whew!
